The whole manufacturing starts with yarn preparation and sock knitting. Premium combed cotton yarn mixed with elastic spandex is woven into blank sock bodies on high-speed knitting machines, with reinforced stitching added on heels and toes for wear resistance. After shaping and trimming loose threads, plain white socks go through pre-washing to remove textile impurities and sizing agents, which ensures uniform dye absorption later. Workers then manually fold, twist and bind each sock with thick rubber bands; different binding tightness and shapes create unique irregular color separation effects, the core charm of tie-dye.

Next comes the core dyeing stage. Bound socks are soaked in eco-friendly reactive dyes with gradient color formulas, then kept at constant temperature for full color penetration. After sufficient dye fixation, the socks are repeatedly rinsed to wash off excess pigment and avoid color bleeding. They undergo high-temperature color fastness setting, softening treatment and final steam shaping. Quality inspectors sort finished products by pattern, check elasticity and color consistency, before packaging. Every step strictly controls details to guarantee one-of-a-kind tie-dye textures.
