Socks sewing process

Socks sewing is a key process in the production of socks, which directly affects the comfort and service life of the product. This process mainly uses advanced sewing equipment to precisely sew the open end of the socks to ensure that the seams are flat and firm. Modern sewing processes generally use Lonadi or Singer sewing machines imported from Italy. These devices are equipped with automatic eye alignment systems, which can accurately match each needle coil to achieve seamless docking.

The sewing process is mainly divided into three steps: first, the coil is aligned, and the electronic eye recognition system is used to ensure that the front and rear needle loops are accurately aligned; then special sutures are used for chain stitching. The sutures are usually made of high-quality nylon or polyester materials to ensure sufficient strength and elasticity; finally, quality inspection is carried out, focusing on checking the firmness and flatness of the seams. Advanced sewing machines can reach a speed of 120 revolutions per minute while maintaining extremely high sewing accuracy, and the tensile strength of the seams can reach more than 15 kilograms.

In order to improve the quality of the seams, the industry currently mainly adopts the following technical solutions: using a high-precision servo motor control system to ensure stitching stability; equipping with an automatic thread trimming device to improve production efficiency; and using a specially designed seam cutter to ensure a smooth cut. In addition, for socks made of different materials, such as cotton socks, silk socks or sports socks, different seam parameters need to be adjusted, including tension setting, stitch length adjustment and stitch density, to ensure optimal wearing comfort.
